COVINGTON — Donald D. Hunt, 84,
died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006 in Tidewell Hospice, Sarasota, Fla. The family moved
to Sarasota in 1983. He was born Oct. 8, 1921 in Covington, the son of Thornton
E. and Lula VanDorn Hunt. He attended Covington Schools, was an Army veteran
serving in the European Theater World War II, member of Covington V.F.W., and a
farmer operating Hunt Farms, Inc. A memorial service of celebration will be
from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday with the service beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the
Covington United Methodist Church. Visitation with the family will be before
and after the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Covington
Community Foundation, CCT or the Covington United Methodist Church. – jlr
